Having led organisation of the National Sheep Association’s (NSA) popular North Sheep event since 2016, well known industry face, Heather Stoney Grayshon has stepped down from the role following delivery of several successful industry events.
In combination with her previous job as NSA Northern Region Manager Heather brought together the very best of the sheep industry to organise NSA North Sheep in 2017, 2019 and finally in 2023 with a welcome return for the biennial show following two postponements due to the covid pandemic.
Heather says: “It has been a pleasure and an honour to work with NSA Northern Region in putting on the last three NSA North Sheep events. Thank you to the committee, volunteers and hosts who have helped and been instrumental in the running of the events.
"I am sure NSA North Sheep can go from strength to strength in the capable hands of Chris Adamson who takes on this role from me.”
NSA Northern Region Chair Ted Ogden has worked alongside Heather for many years and comments: “On behalf of the whole region I would like to thank Heather for her dedication to the organisation of NSA North Sheep Events continuing to build on its reputation as the leading business to business industry event for the sheep sector in the North of England.”
Heather was formally thanked for her work at the recent NSA Northern Region Annual Members’ Meeting (pictured below). NSA Northern Region Manager Chris Adamson, who assisted Heather in the delivery of NSA North Sheep 2023, now takes on the job role of Event Organiser aiming to continue the excellent work of those who have completed the job before him.
Chris says: “I am honoured to be taking on organisation of NSA North Sheep. I would like to thank Heather for mentoring me during the 2023 event. Planning is now well underway for 2025 and I am looking forward to working with the host and their family, committee and volunteers.”
